Christian Fellowship Church Newsletter, May 2017

“I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.  Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His Name together.”  Psalm 34:1, 3.
Praise the Lord for all His goodness!  It’s wonderful to see how God moves in all the earth to bring glory to His Name!  We are happy to share more blessings again with you!
We recently had a celebration service in Carcar City, Cebu for the seven years’ establishment of the Christian Fellowship Church in Carcar.  It was a wonderful and beautiful service with several hundreds of young people and adults in attendance at the beautiful and spacious church there.  God moved in a special way in the anointed and joyful worship and the revival in the altar call afterward!  Four to five hundred young people came to the front in a very special move of the Holy Spirit as they committed their lives afresh to Him!  It is truly refreshing to see God change lives!
Our Christian Fellowship Church Pastors’ Convention was held on May 15-17 at the Dumaguete City church, and again it was a time of precious fellowship with pastors coming from far places in Mindanao Island and Western Negros Island, as w ell as the Eastern Negros province.  Our precious pastors gave us rich messages from the Lord to encourage all of us in our Christian lives.  The last night of the convention every person in the church came to the front and the Lord moved mightily!
We are seeing the move of God with new growth in the churches.  New outreaches are opening up and becoming pioneering works.  Churches have been scheduling recent water baptismal services for the new people. It’s a joy to see them lined up ready for baptism!  One church this month baptized 51 people who had just accepted the Lord!
We are praising the Lord for so many victories, and we know that you are a part of these!  Thank you so much and God bless you!

Benito Pacleb – Goes Home to the Arms of Jesus
Hello, everyone.  I just want to be sure you have heard–my husband Benito Pacleb passed away into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 9,  2016 here at home with me beside his bed.  His passing was so peaceful and quiet.  It was just leaving this world and entering the next, to be with the Lord forever.  He has run the race, kept the course, and surely has achieved many rewards for his lifelong labors.  He was a crusade evangelist, a pastor, Bible teacher, church planter and an inspiration to many in the ministry.  In 1970 Benito and I co-founded the Christian Fellowship Church of the Philippines and we have established many churches.  For everything God has done, we give Him glory!

“After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and He sat at the right hand of God.  Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His Word by the signs that accompanied it.”   — Mark 16:19, 20
Praise the Lord that after two thousand years, He is still speaking, the disciples are still going out and preaching and the Lord is still working with them, confirming His Word!  It’s so wonderful to be used by the Lord to do His works and proclaim Him as Lord!  We’re so thankful for the many Filipino pastors who are doing such a fine work in their pastoral and evangelistic ministries.
We continue to hear reports of the strong move of the Lord in different places, with revival breaking out and churches growing.  That is all we ask from the Lord!
I have attached a few pictures of our new church construction in the village of Emporium (meaning “market”), in the far mountains of northeastern Negros Island.  The congregation there has been existing for many years.  Now their former old building became dilapidated, so they are building a new church.  It is a very steep and isolated place, but is accessible by four-wheel drive vehicles. Some motorcycles are able to reach the village, but some the road is dangerous for them.  The construction of the new church began recently with the laying of the foundation and putting up the posts and beam.  All the materials have to be trucked in from the town far down on the coast.  Even water has to be hauled in from a spring source, carrying it on a motorcycle in water cans!  Please pray for the completion of this church building with pastoral house.  A newly graduated pastor from our Bible school is assigned there and is doing a great job!
The Bible school opened this June 6 for the new school year 2016-17.  Thank God for the young men and women God called to study here in the School of Ministry.  Upon finishing their academic studies, they’ll be pastors out in the field!

Thank you for your prayers for all the ongoing ministries.  You are a part of what God is doing here!  God bless you!

Christian Fellowship Church of the Philippines Youth Convention – NEWSLETTER APRIL 2016

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all the earth.  Sing to the Lord, praise his Name; proclaim his salvation day after day.”  Psalm 96:1,2
We had a wonderful Christian Fellowship Church Youth Convention here on April 18-22 with the theme: Revival!  The church was full and overflowing with around 500 youth and their pastors!  The pastors gave powerful messages from God’s Word in each service!  It was a glorious time of sweet fellowship in the Lord and the powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us!  Everyone was filled with the Holy Spirit as the Lord moved in the services!  Many were baptized in the Spirit and spoke in tongues, and many also felt a call of God to the ministry!  We know that the Lord is calling these young people to be pastors!  It was truly an exciting and wonderful time for everyone!   We experienced revival and now the revival continues in the churches!
The third night of our convention was the commencement exercises of the Christian Fellowship School of Ministry and we graduated seven young men into the ministry!  They had successfully completed their academic courses and one full year of internship working in local churches.
We are looking forward to another great convention with our pastors next month and then a new enrollment in the Bible school by the first week of June.  Please pray with us that God will call many young people to the ministry.  They will be our pastors of tomorrow!
Again, thank you for your prayers and for being a part of our work here!  God bless you!

Christian Fellowship Church of the Philippines, March 2016 Update

Christian Fellowship Church of the Philippines, March 2016 Update
“Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His Word by the signs that accompanied it!”  Mark 16:20
Greetings in the Name of our Lord!  He has commissioned us long ago before He left this world, and told us to go and preach His Word!  So this is our job!  We are so excited about what the Lord is doing for His people and for the good reports we hear from the churches!
All over Negros Island the Fellowship churches are growing and expanding, and some are opening new daughter churches.  I have attached some photos of a new construction in the mountain village of Lapay, in the mountains of southern Negros.
This construction just started the second week of March with the layout of the building and putting up of the coconut posts.  The building will be made of lumber.  It will have a pastoral house for the pastor and his family at the back of the church.  We are excited about this new church!  The members are donating their time to work on the construction.  The building will have a tin roof made of galvanized iron sheets.  Please pray for this need!
I’m also enclosing pictures of the Bible school graduates at their farewell service on March 17!  The seven graduates will be working in local Christian Fellowship churches from northern Negros Island to southern Negros Island!  They are so excited about their new work!  Please pray for them and for revival in all our churches!
The last picture is of our church in Larena on Siquijor Island.  This is a big church and has a great congregation with many young people!
We will be holding our annual Youth Convention on April 1822 here in Dumaguete City, and we look forward to a good attendance of youth and a great time in the Lord!
The theme of our convention is “Revival”!
Thank you for all your prayers and support for the work here!  God bless you!

Christian Fellowship Church, December 2015 News Update

“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”  Luke 2:14
It’s the time of year again that we celebrate our wonderful Savior!  All our Christian Fellowship Churches have their “Thanksgiving Celebrations” this month, so it’s a very busy time!
I attended the thanksgiving celebration of our Christian Fellowship Church in the town of Sta Catalina and we had a wonderful time of joyful worship to God and sweet fellowship with the believers!  The church was overflowing with people, not only from the local church but also from three other neighboring branch churches.  Everyone was so excited to share the whole afternoon with worshiping and praising God and hearing the precious Word of God!  The pastor there worked so hard to prepare everything and cook a wonderful banquet for us!  They prepared two big pigs, roasted over hot coals on an open fire!  The people also brought food they had prepared.  It was a celebration of Jesus!
We have recently put up a good cement wall around the whole property!  Thank God!  I attach a few photos taken at the occasion.  Thank you so much for your prayers for the work here!
    Many blessings this holiday season!

November 2015 Christian Fellowship News Update

November 2015 Christian Fellowship News Update

“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your Name, O Most High!  To proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night!”  Psalms 92:1, 2
We praise the Lord and proclaim His love and faithfulness continually!  It’s a joy to share once more some of our blessings here.
The second semester at the School of Ministry started on November 2 with seven students preparing for the ministry, including two new enrollees this semester!  One of the new students is already a church worker and is from our Manalongon church in the south of Negros Island.  The other student is from our church in the town of Barili, in northern Cebu Island, quite a long trip by bus and inter-island ship!  We see nice potential in all these students and we are happy to mold them into being future full-time pastors.  Please see their group picture that is attached.
We are happy for all our branch churches in our southern and northern Negros districts.  Every month they hold a District Fellowship Meeting where all the Christian Fellowship area churches can attend.  A recent gathering was held in the Culipapa church on the southern tip of Negros Island.  Several of the area churches were able to attend.  It was a wonderful time of refreshing in the Holy Spirit, with encouragement and joy in fellowship!  The little Culipapa church was started long ago and the believers there are so steadfast in spite of hardship. They are strong in the Lord and they are encouraged and full of joy in serving the Lord!  Please pray for them!  Attached photos show the recent fellowship there.
Special services are scheduled for all our branch churches this coming December and I’ll be traveling to visit and speak at some of these “Thanksgiving Celebrations”!  I’ll be speaking at one of our mountain churches the day after Christmas!  Hopefully, the dry weather we’re having will hold up until then, so traveling up on the steep mountain trail will not be so dangerous!
   Thank you for your prayers!
We love you in the Lord,
   Sis June Pacleb

Christian Fellowship Churches of the Philippines News Update, October 2015

Christian Fellowship Churches of the Philippines News Update, October 2015
Ephesians 1:3. “Receiving Every Spiritual Blessing in Christ”.  This was our theme verse of our October 2015 Semi-annual Christian Fellowship Pastors’ Convention here in Dumaguete City, October 19-21.  We were so blessed to see our member pastors again and share precious fellowship with them.  Our pastors gave wonderful messages from the Word of God and we enjoyed them so much!  The Holy Spirit moved in the evening services with revival and sweet refreshing among the pastors!
We had a good attendance with pastors coming from all areas of the island of Negros; north, south, east and west!  Sadly, some pastors were unable to come due to Typhoon Koppu that hit the Philippines and coincided with the dates of our convention.  Inter-island ships were cancelled due to the storm, so pastors from Mindanao Island and Siquijor Island were not able to come.
We were happy to hear from the pastors of blessings and revival in their churches, so we praise God for all these things!  I attach some photos!
God  bless you,

Christian Fellowship Church – News Update – September 2015

100_3078 100_3086 100_3089 100_3080 100_3076 100_3091 100_3092 Renovations

“Praise the Lord, Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever!  Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord or fully declare His praise?”  Psalm 106:1, 2.

We are so happy to share victories here in our churches! God is so good!
The Jimalalud church building has been undergoing renovation since the devastating 2012 earthquake that did so much damage there. Almost the whole church needed to be rebuilt. Now we’re happy to report this month that the new roof is up for the glory of God! The installation of the steel trusses and girders took a few weeks longer than expected due to bad weather and having to order the steel from Cebu City and waiting for it to be delivered, welded and installed. Afterward we also ordered the Color Roof roofing sheets from Cebu City. The whole roofing project was finished last week! Thank God!
The church members are so excited to have a new roof on their building! They have also contributed finance and those who are able to work are giving their volunteer time on Saturdays!
The old walls cracked by the earthquake have been torn down and the broken chunks of cement hauled out. New walls will be going up soon, as well as the front door and side door of the church!
We know the Lord is our Source for everything and we give Him glory and honor for these blessings for the Jimalalud church! Thank you, too, for all your prayers!
I attach a few pictures taken last week.
God bless you!
Sis June Pacleb

August 2015 Christian Fellowship News Update

“We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your Name is near.  Men tell of your wonderful deeds.”  Psalm 75:1
Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus.  The Lord is so good to us and we praise Him continually.  We are all encouraged to keep on doing the work of the Lord!
We are now in the heavy rains of the Southwest Monsoon season, and these will continue until the first of next year!  Right now, we are experiencing a typhoon and another one is on the way!  The air is so humid!
Our Bible school is going on and blessed.  It’s a joy to teach the young men and women God has called to become pastors.  The interns from last year are doing a good job in the places where they are ministering!
Our churches that are are having building repairs are continuing on with their work, although there are delays sometimes because of the rains.  The church in Manalongon has finished cementing their flooring, so this is a big victory for them!
The Pulopantao, Jimalalud church is still working on the installation of the trusses and roofing and some days the welders have to postpone the work a little due to rain.  We hope in maybe another week or so the roof will be all installed, and we’ll share pictures with you.  For now we share a few pictures of this church!
Thank you for sharing in our victories and thank you for your prayers.  God bless you!
